We wanted a pretty little girly blog, but it turned into a festival of miscellaneous poop, unglamorous accessories, design un-wisdom and bad music. Watch us as we navigate life in tarsier-eyed rage.

Good design goes to heaven. Bad design? It wanders onto everything. Even a rip off of a good graphic. Tear.

QUICKPOST: Pat sheebeets was browsing my twitpic stream yesterday and was apparently tickled by how random my pictures were. Gee thanks. But she came across this one picture she swore was shitbit appropriate and I concur.

Tada! One of the pages out of a design magazine I was browsing at Graphic Design History Class. This statement rings so true. I saw a graphic online with similar phrasing once. However, this one was appalling.

Funny thing is that it totally reinstates my previous statement about bad design(and bad ideas…) going everywhere. It apparently wandered onto said second graphic and a song by Jim Steinman. So help us all.

If the working world is anything like crit sessions in school, then it will be clever to equip yourself with shitbits and the stamina to dispense them at length. Along comes these three delightful guides by Anneloes van Gaalen.

What did I learn in university? That every (creative) field involves miscellaneous golden principles that govern certain miscellaneous golden factors, and that miscellaneous dictionaries are invented to discuss such shitbits in inconclusive detail.

The mass-discussion of such shitbits for profit is known as an industry.

Graphic designers wax kerning, painters argue composition, filmmakers fuss the mark of the auteur and advertisers, God bless their understanding of virals, tinker with social media.

If the working world is anything like crit sessions in school, then it will be clever to equip yourself with shitbits and the stamina to dispense them at length. Along comes these three delightful guides by Anneloes van Gaalen.

Good read? Not entirely, but definitely a good browse. And a great little pre-crit / pre-pitch pick-me-up.
